cd troubles

my dvd/cd player will read and play music and movie's but will not run
programs from other cd's that i want to install. The device is working
properly, but does nothing when i try to run or install from cd.

Can you access the CD drive from Windows Explorer. If so, just double click
on the "install" or some such file.

Also, you can in Windows Explorer, right click on the CD drive icon, click
on properties, click on auto-play, then choose what you want the drive to do
under different cases, click ok and it should work. Let us know. Vic
