CD-RW

While on 98SE I used to use a third party software for my
CD-RW. Now that I have WINxp Home, I understand that
WINxp allows me to do that without a third party
software. I fumbled my way copying files but I think I
may be doing it wrong. Can anyone please list steps to
take in copying from files in the HD, and from files in a
CD. I have a CD-ROM and a CD-RW.

Thanks.

also here is a patch

for
a.. The disc recording is consistently unsuccessful.
b.. You cannot read the disc by using Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98, but you can read the disc in
Windows XP.
c.. You cannot read the disc in an MP3 player, but you can read the disc in Windows XP.
d.. You are able to read the disc in an MP3 player, but not all of the files on the disc are available. However, all
of the files on the disc are available when you read the disc in Windows XP.
e.. When you add files or folders to a disc that already contains data, some files are lost. This may occur if one or
both of the following conditions exist:
a.. A file is added to the disc, and the name of the file is the same as the name of a folder that was already on
the disk.

-or-
b.. A folder is added to the disc, and the name of the folder is the same as the name of a file that was already on
the disk.

It is limited and does not work in the manner you will probably be
expecting. It stashes files to burn a batch as a 'session' more as for
a CD-R. Read up at http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpcd.htm
