CD-RW Read only

I am using an HP Pavillion 753n with windowe xp Home addition and windows
service pak 2. I record a cd-rw disk and After recording I try to move, or
delete a file from it I get the message, This is a read only file and cannot
be removed. If I create a folder and try to move files into it I get the same
message. What am I to do?

Thanks for the reply Jon,
I have both HP's record now and DLA on my pavillion 753n. Either way I
record can be coppied back to my hard drive, and either can be added to, but
I cannot add to a file already in the CD-RW disk. The only way I can add to a
file is to copy it back to my hard drive, add to the file, rename it then
re-record to my CD-RW disk. This results in having both the original file and
the new one on the disk because it won't let me delete the first one. Any
time I try to make change it says it is read only. Is there a setting to
eleminate this read only? As you can tell, I am not the sharpest person
around when it comes to computers!!

Thanks again for trying.

Have you right clicked on the drive and ticked "use with DLA"?
Verify that "enable CD recording on this drive" is NOT enabled in properties » recording.
Have you formatted the CD-RW with DLA?
Have you disabled autoplay?

A CD R/W is a write - read that you can append but not change until such
time as you erase the whole disk and start over. It just doesn't work like
of floppy or hard drive.

Wrong answer, the OP is using mastering software with packet writing (DLA).

portion of the disk without deleting thw whole thing. Thanks so much for the
