CD-RW problems

When I burn a file on to my DR-RW disc, via windows media player, after it is done, it says the disc has only 44mb on it. This is odd and the file I have on my computer (same song) is 3.5mb. I can't play the cd in any of my players except the computer. I know my other players are CD-RW compatible. Any suggestions? I looked into options and it didn't really have any specifically for this problem. It's burning in a WMA format. What format should it be burning it to and how do i achieve this?

Not likely out 99% of regular stereos will not support CD+RW or CD-RW
