Billy G.

Hi,
I have Sony CD-RW CRX215E1.When I try to copy files or
start programms from cd they run very very slowly. And
when try to burn cd it often send a error messages.
In Event Viewer system messages is : "An error was
detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging
operation." or/and "The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad
block." or/and "The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort1, did not
respond within the timeout period."
The software that I use for burning is Nero 6.0.
What is the reason and what I have to do?
Thanks.

Hi Billy,

Often caused by a loose or faulty ide cable. Try reseating or replacing it.

Sometimes two IDE devices just don't seem to get along. Is there another
drive on the same cable? Is it possible to put the Sony drive on it's own
cable as a master or is it like that already?

Google suggests many possible things to check...
