CD-RW Drive

For some reason I can't get into my CD-RW Drive. How can I
correct this?
I was told the following would fix it but I don't know how
to do it - C:\Documents and Settings\Faith Pewitt\
Applications\Fav Cookies
 
Did it ever work?
Appears that your operating system is not recognizing
the drive.

Try this: go to Start
Control Panel
System icon
Hardware tab
locate device manager button
A list will appear, find one that reads
"DVD\cd " click the "+" and any drive
that is installed will show up If there
is a yellow ? mark. you need to delete
and reinstall.
If you are using XP this should be
automatic. if not use the install wizard
