Hello,
I would appreciate some help with this issue please.
I am running Windows XP. The computer that I have came with a DVD drive
and a CD-RW drive. The ones I have installed came with the computer and I
have not changed anything.
For some reason today, I went to open my CD-RW drive and it wouldn't open.
I then checked "My Computer" and the drive is not even showing up.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? And hopefully have a solution?

Thank you.

With the computer running, press the button on the CDROM to open the caddy.
If it does not open and there is no flickering light on the CDROM panel,
then its dead and probably needs to be replaced. If it is dead use a metal
paper clip to open it and remove any media that may be in it. You could try
to reseat the power cable in case it became loose (unlikely),

You can also restart the computer and enter SETUP to see if cmos detects it.
