CD roms wont work, error code 19

The icons for my DVD and Burner ane gone and the CD roms
won't work. i'm told I have a corrupt registry(error code
19). i've followed the help notes but nothing works???

If you have Nero or Roxio software try to uninstall that reboot and see if
the CDROM and DVD works. If it now does, reinstall the latest versions of
this software.
