after removing a cd the door won't stay closed (Techmedia-Taeil CDD-7320T). there is no problem with my HP cd-writter, just the cd-rom, it worked fine with win 98, started acting-up with xp.

i'd suspect it was the cd drive it's self not windows
boot to your bios and se if it will stay shut when you are not in windows
 
when in bios it does stay closed
