Before I upgraded to Win2000 I could wright to my DVD and to my CD-ROM with
any disc I wanted but now I can only record to CD-R. It will not recognize
CD-RW. I had to go and change somthing called the IED or something like that
to get it to record to CD-R, how do I make it work right? I even called Sony
and they said it is a software problem and would not help.

You may need to get in touch with the developer of the burning software
you're using. There is nothing native to the operating system.

Afraid not. There is nothing native to the operating system as far as
burning goes.

| Isn't Microsoft the developer of the software since it's Win2000?
