CD Rom program icons problem

Running Windows xp home

I have recorded mixed content files and software applications backed up on
CDs. Instead of everything opening up in its respective icon, every single
entry now opens up as a iexplorer type icon (the blue one). I can't tell
one program or application from another in order to pick and choose by
respective icons as one normally does. I don't know how this came to be
this way, but I'm sure that I've must have accidentally changed a setting
somewhere, but what? Can this be fixed? The file icons are all okay on the
C:\ drive. Only the A: drive (Floppy) and D: drives (CD drive) are effected
this way. All my CDs seem to be affected this way. It's seems to be a
View-icon problem.

My pc has all the latest up-to-date antivirus files and my firewall is
working fine. There appears to be no viruses or other malware presently on
my OS.

Can anyone help with this problem? Is there a fix? Thanks!

That's okay, everyone.

I finally fixed the problem myself using Tweakui Toys for Windows XP

Cheers.
