CD ROM Problems

I am having trouble recording anything on to my blank CDs
(CR-R). When I attempt to do so the CD Writing Wizard
appears and tells me there is no disk in the drive. But
if I place an already written CD like a music CD or a game
I have no trouble playing back off of it. But then as
soon as I place a blank CD my computer tells me I cant
write on it cuz it is not there... does anyone have a clue?

Verify the media is clean, you could also try cleaning your drive with a
lens cleaning kit.

Or it may simply be the media is incompatible with your drive, this does
happen a lot of with cheap generic media.
