Dear people,

All of a sudden I can't detect my cd rom drives in
explorer and the control panel, system, device manager
has a yellow question mark next to it. When I click on
the drives this is the error I get:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its
configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete
or damaged. (Code 19)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this
device.

Can anyone get back to me by either email or through this
post and tell me how to fix my problem? Thanks.

Sincerely,

Steven

I can't tell you the fix because I'm still looking
myself. But has anyone besides me noticed a lot of recent
posting for cd-rom/rw drives quitting? When I reboot I
get a quick message of Atapi failure. Hardware failure,
I'll look into it.
