Hi

I have loaded ITunes and the Ipod software onto my laptop and the drivers
for my Matshita UJDA760 DVD/CDRWROM have been deleted. Has anyone found a fix
for this as I cannot find the drivers anywhere on the net.

Cheers

Drivers are natively supplied by XP. It's likely you've run across the
Upper/Lower filter issue. Burning software adds these drivers to be
able to "Hook" into system calls to the device. Is the unit shown in
Device Manager with a Yellow Exclamation point ?
You can see more info on Drivers, by adding a System Environment
Variable - DevMgr_Show_Details and set it's value = 1.
Then open Device Manager, DVD/CD Category. Double-Click the
760. From the details box, click the "Details" (TAB). Toggle the
arrow to "Device Upper Filter" and note the driver in the box below.
Then repeat the process (Toggling) to "Device Lower Filter".

Don't know if this will solve your problem, but go to

www.download.com

download

DriverGenius.com

it's freeware, meaning you have 2 weeks to try it free.

Obviously, if you aren't planning on upgrading h/w any time
soon, you'll only need to do one download.

You won't even need to do a search. The search feature
within Driver Genius is capable of finding the drivers. It
searches your system, determines what hardware you have, and
then it finds and downloads all the drivers you need.

It's then up to you to determine which to install.

Good luck!
