CD rom Bad block

Hi, I'm connected digitally.
My CD rom is identified by my computer and theres no
conflicts in device manger, but does not play any kind of
CD, It says nothing is in the CD ROM drive, Mike

When you open up the windows explorer and navigate to the cd drive,
what happens when you click on it?
Also, does it register a name there?
For example, if I enter an audio cd into my F: drive dvdrom,
when I look at it in explorer it says "Audio CD (f:)"

What do you have in yours?
