CD Ripper

EAC is a great audio cd ripper. Used with the LAME mp3 encoder it
does a great job. It is the only one i would recommend to you.

Wow, you must *really* think it's great.
 
Think this is the point that I get confussssssed !
I want whichever format a "normal" CD-Player can handle.
My (domestic) DVD player can handle MP3/WMA files
but the ones in the 'puter and car can't.

Sometimes it is hard to get older CD players to play the CD's I burn.
I've always tried to burn them as MP3 and have had some luck with
different brands of blank CDs, also with setting the burn speed down to
the slowest settings. Never thought of trying to burn them as WAV. files.
