I can write picture JPegs in a rewritable CD in my computer, but I cannot
delete any of the pictures there, not even after I uncheck the "write-only"
mark in the Properties dialog. I just want to delete one picture, but I
keep getting the message that the picture cannot be deleted because it is
write-only.
What cannnot I delete it?

Hi,

WinXP's native burning does not use the UDF format, which is what you need
to selectively delete files on a CDRW. You would need to install third party
software and write to the disk in that format before you would be able to
delete or modify files already written to the disk.

As Rick said, it's not possible to selectively delete a file using XP's native burning engine.
You could create a zero-byte [or some other file] file of the same name [the file name which you want to delete] and write to CD. The old file will be replaced by the Zero-byte file [which has the same filename]. However, it will show-up in the listing.

Not exatly, the zero byte file will show up in the directory, but the
original file will still be there taking space, and available for
those that have the correct tools.

This has already been answered in your previous post 4 minutes ago.
Whining about it without waiting for replies (or not reading them) is
not going to help.

Impatience is not well regarded or rewarded here.
