Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be
corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not
compatible with Windows

Can anybody help? I get the above message when trying to
read come cds, even though the configuration and software
has not changed sisnce they were written.

I've tried them in other machines but to no avail.

PLEASE can somebody help???

Thanks

When you say you tried the cd's in other machines, do you mean that they
couldn't be read there, either? If that's correct, then the physical
cd's are damaged as opposed to a problem with your machine's cd-rom
drive. Perhaps you stored them carelessly and they got warped and/or
scratched. If that's the case, there's probably nothing you can do. If
the problem is scratches (instead of warping), then a cd cleaner/repair
kit might help. If the data is crucial, contact DriveSavers
(www.drivesavers.com) and see if they can help. I know they can work
magic with hard drives - don't know about cd's.
