How can I change the 'Read Only' which is applied to files on a CD?

Read Only files are that way because you cant edit and save on a CD. The
only way to change the attribute is to copy the file to your hard drive
first then you can remove the read only (if it still exists) from the file.

You can't. By definition, files on a CD are read-only. The full name of the
CD is CD-ROM, Compact Disk Read-Only Memory.

If you want the ability to change what's on it, you should be using CDRW
disks, not CD.
