CD-R

hello,
my D drive (TEAC CD 224-E) does not recognize a blank CD-R. When I tried to
click on the icon to save some documents, an error message shows up. "Please
insert a disk into Drive D:." but there is a brand new CD-R in the drive.
So, how can I fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated!

Normally CDR's are not drap and drop, unless you have a packet writing
driver installed, but such packet written Cds will not work on other
computers unless those computer have the packet writing driver installed.
Normally you would use burning software. Google for "cd burning", there are
lots floating around on the web. Basically, you would load the burning
software, tell it what files you want to put on the CDr disc, then burn it.
Usually, onces a CDr disc has been burned, you will not be able to add
additional files to it, unless you take care to not "finalize" the disc.
