Hi

I know it is not XP problem but hopeful that somebody out there might be
able to help.

I have third party Cd buring tool. CDXpress Pro.
I bought 50 "48x CD-R from verbatim"
My laptop has Matshita UJ750 CD buring device.
I burned first CD. It went fine.
I put another one. It said, SENSE KEY: Power calibration area error.
I replaced it with new one. It worked fine.
I put new one again. It gave same error and didnt burn giving same error.
I replaced it with new one again. It burned fine.
I did this experiment few more times and found that every alternate CD
experiences this problem.

OS: XP Pro : SP1
Spyware: No
Virus: No
IMAPI CD burining service: Disabled

Appreciate help or pointers.

This sounds like a lower speed burner (not sure of model numbers) which
does not like 48x disks. Try small samples of other makes, and burn at
lower speeds

A Friend of Mine Had a similar Problem with a 50 pack of Verbatium Last
Week.

He took Them all back to Staples and they Gave him another Verbatium 50
pack and all is Well Now!!!
Sounds like Verbatium had a BAD Run of CD's
