CD-R/RW

I cannot get the above to open. Sometimes when you go to MY COMPUTER it is not shown but if you check on SYSTEMS MANAGER it states that it is working perfectly. If it is showing on MY COMPUTER when you click on PROPERTIES you get all zeros and showing disc full although no figures are shown.
