CD-R Driver

I installed Easy CD Creator 4 and I have Windows XP,
apparently the two do not agree consequently my CD-R
driver was disabled. Now I have purchsed CR Creator 6
and downloaded it and it does not recognize that there is
a CD writer device. The error message I get from my tray
is:
"CD Recording Software willc ause windows to be
unstable. Windows has prevented these drivers from
loading"
What do I do to get this driver reloaded?
