CD Plus - Enhanced CD

I've got a problem in reading CD Plus (multisession CD with the first session
as Audio CD and the second as data CD).
My PC use these CD as Audio CD and it is impossible to see the data (I can
see just the audio tracks) also using Windows Explorer or Command Prompt (DOS
style).

I can use on older machines these CD without problems.

I can alse use these CD on the same machine using Linux OpenSuse 10.0.

How can I solve this problem?

This is my PC:

Pentium 4 4Ghz
Win XP SP2
DVD-RW NEC ND-3500

Thank you

hi, are you just trying to copy the disc, or do you really need to see the
data on it??

No.
I need to see the CD and use it.
It's a Cover CD of a Guitar Magazine with audio and lessons (movies) in it.
It's all inside a GUI.
Any idea?

Enhanced CD is a variation on the CD Extra format - the Enhanced format puts
the data in track 0 rather than track 2. I've had a good dig around and
apparently the Windows driver support for reading track 0 was removed in
Windows 95b and above. I've never seen an Enhanced CD, so I can't verify
this, but there are many posts on the web on various sites all saying the
same thing.
I can alse use these CD on the same machine using Linux OpenSuse 10.0.

Sounds like Linux also retains the track 0 access in it's CD drivers. This
also supports XP not having track 0 access in it's drivers for Enhanced CDs.
How can I solve this problem?

If you have a good dig around Google you should be able to find programs
that can copy the track 0 data, you can then burn that to a new CD. I
haven't been able to find any third-party drivers for XP that will enable
track 0 support.

OK, I'll try to google.

The strange thing is that I'm using those CD on other machines (not mine)
with Windows XP SP2 without any problem.
I tink it's a configuration problem or something similar.

Any suggestion?

What CD/DVD drives are being used to read the CD on those other machines? I
guess it's possible that the drive might still support track 0 access even
if the XP driver doesn't, which would allow it to work on those other drives
and not on your NEC.
