CD player wont read burnt Cds

I burn music onto CD but my CD player says 'nodisc' when I put CD in, and files are on the CD, can anyone help?

You must set your burning software to *close* the disc at the completion of
the burn, or your home audio CD player will not recognize it. And you did
burn as an *audio* disc as opposed to a *data* disc, right? Finally, some
older CD players just don't properly play CD-R media.
