CD Lock-up

Both my drives...NEC DV-5800A and NEC NR-7800A seem to
work fine, but once a CD is accessed, it will NOT eject
until I reboot.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

This may not be the answer to your problems, but if these
were preinstalled drives (came with your computer - which
brand is it?) That may help us decide what to post next!

Have you tried simply removing both drives from Device Manager and
rebooting? Sometimes the drivers for them just don't fully take. This
method cured a BSOD every time I inserted a DVD on my computer. You may
want to give that a try. Also, you could try physically unplugging
them, rebooting, let Windows fully load, then turn off the computer,
plug them back in, and load back into Windows and see if that fixes
anything.
