CD issue

Jim Morris

I have a cd with files and folders. On Windows XP Pro
PC/s 'MS Explorer' sees one folder with five sub folders
and no files in the root. In windows 98SE PC/s 'MS
Explorer' sees 185 files in the root (MP3, wav, mpg and a
few others) but not the folder or sub folders mentioned
above (they are an HP folder and the sub folders Disk 1
thru 5 basically just the installation disks for an HP
820 printer.

What is going on? It is making me crazy.

I feel same: 2 file sizes r givem that dont match HD,
CD-R &RW have many differt formats, then there's Joliet
& ISO990 thing, speed of CD vs Speed Writer,... it just
goes on and on and on. Gives me a headache.

So I minimized my CD use to just ripping audio on CD-R
and installing pgms fron CD-R. I can put up to 64MB on
CompactFlashCard that doubles as DigCamMemory.Got 2nd
HD (cheap now)with hidden partitions for backups using
DI6 imaging. Use CD-RW to copy a few of these to have
2nd backup.

Just my 2¢ worth- Larry
Any advise is my attempt to contribute more than I have received but I can only assure you that it works on my PC. GOOD LUCK.
