problems after XP Prof Crash

Ben

Hi everybody,
this is new for and you can say I don't very much about computers. What I
know I learned by experience.

A few days ago my pc crashed. Windows automatically started a recovery.
Orphane files where being repaired, and the disks where checked.
Aftyer a while everything seemed to be ok.
But than I found that some fil on my backup disks where replaces by text
documents with the same name as the replaces/lost file.
Most of these files where mp3's or foldwers containing mp3's.
I later discovered that most of these folder/files where somewhere on my
computer, but invicible and named "dir0000.chk" and counting.
Some mp3's I cant play and get the following message
"Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you
might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy
settings might not be correct"
I cannot move the to an other folder because, it is in use, the disk is
full or the file is write protected.

These are some of the problems I'm experincing.

Can someone help please

thanks in advance

Ben

I'm afraid you're out of luck. When it comes to chk files the
scraps of MP3 files don't really have any useful information in
them .
