CD/DVD recorder not recognised disk with data

I have a disk which contains Quicktime Movies, when I inserted into my CD/DVD
Drive, it does not recognised it is there. When I used Windows Explorer to
access the drive, it says "Please insert a disk into drive D:". When I
inserted the same disk into my laptop running the same Windows XP, it
automatically brings up Windows Explorer. How do I fix this problem?

assuming that your laptop did not see any data on the disk, the cd/dvd was
probably not finalized at the time of creation. Take the CD/DVD back to the
mother machine and while using the same software that wrote it, attempt to
finalize. This usually will do the trick. GL
