I can't get a cd to play in my cd-rom. It seems like it reads it, but when I
go the windows media player and click to open the D drive, it says there is
an I/O device error. What does that mean and how do I fix it?
Thanks for the help!!

Try deleting it in the Device Manager, then reboot and let Windows find
the new hardware and reinstall it. That might help.

The drive migth be broken. New CD drives are cheap these days.
