cd drive

My cd rom drive only works once in a while. The device
manager says it is working properly, but I am trying to
re-install microsoft picture it and none of the cds will
run. Help!

You probably have a dirty lens, scratched CDs, or a bad
drive. See if any other discs can be accessed by the
drive first.
