CD Drive

I have an Fujistu Siemens Amilo Pro V2010. I have had no problems so far but
suddenly today it has stopped recognising cds. It will recognise and play
dvds but when i try to play a cd it says that the drive is blank and that
there is no disc. I've tried playing a cd in safe mode but still will not
play. It all began this morning when I was using Nero to burn a cd and got
an error message about some sort of power problem in the burning process?

I'm not very technical so any help would be much appreciated.

The CD and the DVD each use their own laser. If the CD laser failed as
indicated by Nero, then you have a DVD player and no CD player. You may
return if still in warranty or replace out of own funds if not.
