CD Drive used by another app?

I'm trying to burn a data disc on Nero, which I have done numerous times before, but now I gat an error msg telling me that the session failed due the the cd drive being used by another application. Everything was shut down, from the internet to virus programs......................Help me! I'm tearing out what little hair I have left!

As Jerry (plectrum) noted recently, you should disable XP's native burning
service to avoid conflicts when using third party burning software:

"Start > Manage > Services and Appliances > Services > Disable IMAPI CD
Burning ROM > Apply > OK W reboot and burn away."

Not sure if this is your problem, but it couldn't hurt to have a look.
