Hay,
I have a Dell computer with Windows XP Professional.
and I've lost my CD-drive. Is there an easy way to get it fixed again ?
thanks for helping me out.

What exactly do you mean by "lost". Has the driver simply become corrupt or is the drive not working at all? Have you gone into the device manager and tried uninstalling it and then rebooting to see if XP detects new hardware? Have you gone to the drives manufacturer site and tried downloading the drivers and then installing them? If it's a matter of the drive is fried or burnt out then simple disconnect your power, open the tower and unplug the drive. Then remove it from the tower and take it to your local store and get a new one or have them test it for you. It's easy to remove and install a new one and they're pretty cheap these days. In my opinion Dell is only one letter away from Hell. Good luck. {:~)
