CD / CDR ROM DRIVE

Hi,

I have Windows XP on my HP Pavillion xt878 computer.
When I pull up my device manager and ask for the DVD & CD
ROM Drives list, it list the Mitsumi CR-48X5TE.

I was running a program with it and it stopped working.

I also have ROXIO CD Creater Ver 5 on my computer. I was
not using this software when it failed.

Now when I put a CD in it and try to read, it starts
blinking green and then starts blinking orange and stays
blinking orange. Is there any test that I can do to
determine what may be wrong.

Roxio ver5 is the probable culprit,since xp uses a version of Roxio for cd
burning,the 2 programs clash and have caused al ot of people a lot of
problems,unistall it and get a copy of NERO or Stomp Record now max
