CD Burning

I have recently bought some blank, rewritable DVD's and
CD's. When i insert them it does not acknowledge there is
a CD of any sort in there. I gave up on the DVD
rewriting, but i bought the rewritable CD's today hoping
to copy some music to them from either RealOne player or
Windows Media Player, and neither will let me.
Can you help????????????

Don't give up. What kind of CD's are you using? Is there an error message or just no recognition by the drive? And are you trying to copy a CD store-bought CD or burning from music in your hard-drive? A liitle more info and we'll get it right.

If you have Roxio's Easy CD Creator or Nero it is very simple. You can format th
CD-RW and use it like a second harddrive. You can copy&paste or drag&drop file
folder back and forth. Using features in XP is extremely limited. The procedur
is called packet writing which is not a feature in XP for CDs
