CD BURNING

every time i try to burn a cd it says device in use by another application and nothin else is open. Also when i put a blank disk into my cd burner and try to access it it say D:\ not accessable and incorrect function.

Did you get anything to help with this
I'm using Nero Express
The funny thing is, it lets me use the InCD for CD-RW's,I had a look at the event log and it says#11 Phase 156 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1818.
Then a bit further on:Registry Keys
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)
This could be a nasty doo-dad has altered the regiistry
Any ideas??

I check my registry and in that key I have the value 1.
Something altered the registry, have you done a scan for viruses and
spyware.
