Make sure that the IDE cable is plugged into the burner and the motherboard
properly. Make sure the appropriate power supply cable is plugged into it.
If your burner doesn't power on and it is plugged in to the power properly,
switch power connectors. And finally, make sure it's recognized by the
system's BIOS. Windows can't recognize the drive if the BIOS can't see it.
