How can I turn off the cd auto-detection?

I want the OS to do nothing (automatically) when I insert a cd...

Please help.

that should be an option on the list. Do nothing, and then check the
box that will have xp remember that decision

1. In Windows Explorer, right-click your computer's CD/DVD drive, and then
click Properties.
2. Click the AutoPlay tab, and then in the Select "Music files" content type
box, click "Take no action".
3. Repeat the same for "Video files", "Mixed content" and "Music CD"
