CCProxy.exe is a killer....

I just did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro. Installed
all updates and finished installing my normal software
(Messengers etc...). I installed Symantec Internet
Security as my virus protection. I noticed immediately
that ccproxy.exe takes up 1.3megs of ram. Any idea why
this would be??? from my research on other sites
including Symantecs, it's not a common problem at all.
Perhaps it's something to do with Windows or something.
Anyway. Thought I'd ask to see if anyone knew of a fix
or something for this.

1.3megs of ram is almost nothing.

If you have Norton IS installed, CCPROXY.EXE is part of this. It is th
proxy server that is used to support the parental controls. If yo
turn parental controls off at user level the process is not loaded...i
fact it is only loaded after you connect to the internet.

If this is the process that you have it actually uses 137MB, so it i
significant. However, if you make sure that XP gives priority t
programs rather then background processes this shouldn't be a problem.
Check by looking at Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performanc
Settings ... > Advanced and click 'programs' against processor an
memory usage
