I have a PC with an AIW 9700 and recently installed Catalyst 4.2. Since
then an annoying dialog box is shown whenever I use the Alt+F5 hotkey to
switch between my monitor and my television. It says something like "Do you
want to keep these changes? Switching back in 15 seconds"

How can I stop this dialog box from coming up every time I press Alt+F5?

Best,
Torben

Sounds like it's doing a mode switch... rather than using the secondary
display. Make sure you have the theatre mode set right, as the new driver
install resets this.

Thanks Ben... but could you please explain how to confirm that the
theatre mode is set right? I have this problem too, for the first time
with CAT 4.2's, and it is really p****ng me off.

The theatre mode settings are on the Overlay tab under a button called
something like Settings for Clone mode (I run a Danish language version,
so I don't know the exact words). It is only active when both the TV and
the monitor are activated. And the problem does not seem to be there.

I "solved" the problem by uninstalling 4.2 and going back to the
previous driver release. I hope ATI will add an option to unselect this
warning message as it's really annoying when you're using a remote
control.

I run Windows XP Home Edition SP1 Danish language. What OS are you
using, Wilf? I wonder if the "feature" is related to specific
versions/languages.

Thanks Torben - I am running XP Pro. I will try to revert to a
previous version, everything used to work well.
