How to eliminate WinXP MS Word Macro multiple dialog box annoyances?

How do we just open l& close a Windowx XP MS Word document without
having to repeatedly argue with a series of five annoying macro
dialogs?

All I want to do is turn off all macros at all times always!

MS Word: Tools->Options->Security->Macro Security is set to the default
level (Medium); but a quick test showed the same annoying
series of dialog boxes with even the Very High setting.

I've never in my life needed a Windows XP Microsoft Word document that
contains macros (and I don't ever want one). If people can't write Word
documents that don't spin around and make funky sounds, then I don't
want to read their results. I disabled all macros ... yet, whenever I
open & close a MS Word document, I still get a series of five
annoyingly pointless macro dialogs starting with:

a) Microsoft Office Word:
The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open.
Click OK, and then close open dialog boxes to continue.

b) Security Warning:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\STARTUP\PDFMaker.dot
contains macros by Adobe Systems Incorporated
Macros may contain viruses.
It is usually safe to disable macros, but if the macros are
legitimate, you might lose some functionality.
[ ]Always trust macros from this publisher.

c) I then press the "Disable Macros" button; & a 3rd dialog pops up:
Microsoft Visual Basic:
The macros in this project are disabled.
Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host
application to determine how to enable macros.

d) Then, when I close down the MS Word document
(even if no changes were actually attempted),
I now get the fourth annoying macro dialog box:
Microsoft Office Word:
Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal.dot.
Do you want to save those changes?

e) When I click "No", a fifth annoying repeat of the third dialog box
pops up:
Microsoft Visual Basic:
The macros in this project are disabled.
Please refer to the online help or documentation of the host
application to determine how to enable macros.

Q: Is there a way to "really disable" macros such that they are simply
disabled and all these annoying dialog boxes don't pop up anymore?

The problem is that you've installed a third-party tool - the Adobe
Acrobat Addin to create PDF files - that contains macros. If you
don't want macros, then you can't use such tools from within Word
:)

You need to remove/uninstall the tool, and this particular set of
warnings should desist.

Or, if you want to use the tool, then you'll need to change some of
your macro settings in order to allow it to run.
