Enable Macros Dialog Box

D

Dee

Hello,

Is there a way to not have the dialog box that asks you if you want to
enable or disable macros in a word document not show when opening a document
with macros. I have a form I want to send to a group and I don't want that
dialog box showing when they open the document.

Thanks very much for you help.

If I'm not mistaken, the decision to enable or disable macros in a received
document is determined by the recipient , not the sender.

More or less. In Word 2003 and earlier, the Security Options determine
whether macros are automatically enabled, automatically disabled, or
enabled/disabled on a case-by-case basis by notifying the user and letting
him/her choose. In Word 2007, there is an option to trust macros in all
documents/templates in trusted locations (as is also the case in Word 2003),
and there is also an option to trust digitally signed macros. So if a
developer digitally signs a macro project, then presumably it would be
enabled on systems where users had chosen that option.

Suzanne, I agree with you 100%. I may have missed the intent of her question.
I thought possibly she wanted to enable the macro as the sender, not wanting
the recipient to know there was a macro installed, thus my basic answer.
