CAT 3.9Drivers=no LCD monitor

P

peter

using an ASUS A7N8Xdeluxe ver 2.0 mobo and a ATI radeon 9600 pro with a NEC
LCD 1760nx.
I unistall the 3.8 drivers from within control panel/add&remove
I reboot and install the 3.9 drivers
upon rebooting I get as far as the XP start screen when the box comes up
that says no DVI#2 connection and my monitor goes to sleep.
I can get into safe mode 1 out of 10 times before this happens again.
I can power down and reboot and get into XP before it happens again.
Am I missing something????
TIA

Try installing an analogue lead and see if you can get into windows, then
select DVI from display properties.
I'm using Samsung 181T with a 9800XT and 3.9's installed OK.

I have both an anlogue and digital monitor.
If I hook up the analoque one I have no problems. But I use this one on
another system
It only occures on the digitaly connected LCD monitor.
This LCD Monitor also has an anlogue connection so can I hook this monitor
up with both analogue and digital at the same time??? or would I damage
something???

That's what I meant Peter, connect the analogue lead to the LCD (not another
monitor).

Usually you can have both plugged in, I have done this procedure with two of
my LCDs with no problems, check in your manual to make sure there are no
particlular problems doing it with yours.
