ATI CAT 3.9 and Lightwave 3D

With Cat 3.9 I get a "Program error" box, and it says it's creting a log
file.

However, Lightwave 7.5c works fine with Cat 3.8 and below.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into a problem with ATI Cat 3.9
drivers and Lightwave 7.5c (Layout and Modeler) refusing to run.
