Case of the disappearing e-mail in Outlook 2003

I installed my spankin new Outlook 2003 in my desktop a couple of month
ago now. Since then I have been operating pretty smoothly for quite
while until Christmas day...

As of Christmas day, Outlook will download emails fully from my tw
different pop servers (haven't connected to the exchange network yet)
Once downloaded, it reports the process fully complete, yet the email
never show up anywhere. At least a good portion of the emails hav
been received by outlook plenty of times before, including test email
from myself (from the same account). NOTHING makes it into the inbox
the junk email folder and deleted messages box are both empty.

Some background...

At this time, and previous there are no rules in place (I don't do
whole lot with this machine or its accounts, so SPAM and other unwante
emails aren't an issue, although other machines we've installed it on
have rules and filters in place)

One of the accounts was setup clean and basic AFTER the proble
started, in trying to verify it wasn't a mail server issue.

I've reverified there are no filters, junk email rules, blocke
senders, or rules in place at all.

I for the life of me cannot understand where the email is going. I'd b
happy to do a reinstall and see if it changes anything, but if it
possible that i'm just losing sanity and they are somewhere to b
found, It'd be nice to see what people have sent me recently.

Nonetheless, I haven't found many reports of problems similar vi
google, and don't expect it to be so much a problem as much a setting
But any insight on things to check, differences from 2002 to 2003 tha
i may be overlooking... something to give me a solid idea. Everythin
that makes sense I feel like i've checked, and there is no change. I'
running out of room on my POP servers (saving mail copies on the serve
now)... and need to figure this out.
