I have Windows Home XP and am unable to shut down my computer properly
without and error stating "end program card read monitor for 9360
4.5 " then "program not responding" . Although this error shows up
when I try to research it , I can't seem to find an explanation or a
solution . I'm unable to restore back to a specific date prior to
seeing this error. I have recently installed simpletec's storage
drive for backup and have removed this program thinking it was the
problem , but still I haven't had any success. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Does it show up if you go into Safe Mode and exit? If not do some clean
boot troubleshooting to see what's loading at startup to cause it.

Rock,
Thank you and I tried some of the msfig attempts as well as the clean
boot but I do get a screen that says "
an access denied error was returned while atttempting to change a
service. You may need to log on as an Administrative acct. to make
specificied changes." Since this is a Home XP I'm assuming my log
in should be sufficient? As you can see I'm a little hesitant about
making any changes that might create more problems. Now I'm dealing
with " There is a problem with theis website's security certificate"
on many of my "favorites" especially the financial ones but when I
click the McAfee Site Advisor it says they are OK but do I believe
this? Another 1 time error showed up " end program rthdcpl" so am I
making things worse?

Thank you .

JM
