car classified type database

I would like to set up on my motor enthusiasts site, a free database for
users to add details of their vehicles for sale as in typical (obviously
very expensive) car classified type (user:enters own info/photo, and search
make/model etc....)databases. Before I embark on a huge self-training
marathon, do you think this type of database is realistically possible on
Access? I am currently trialing a standard free database provided by 1&1 but
its not very good.

With a stand-alone front end, I'd say 30 to 75 depending upon what they are
doing. All writing/editing, you'd want to count on 30, a mixture can take up
to about 75. All reading several hundred. With a web app we've seen tens of
thousands of hits a day, but never more than a 8 or 10 at any given moment.
