capture stops because screen resolution was changed

I've tried capturing some video from a Sony camcorder, but after several
minutes I get an error message that reads essentially "capture stops because
screen resolution was changed." This happens although the entire tape was
shot in one afternoon, with only one camera, and nothing was done to tamper
with screen resolution at all. How do I solve this problem?

Are you running a screensaver?
Try disabling it.

IMHO...when capturing video it's
best if nothing else is running. I
mean nothing...don't even play
Solitaire.

John--
Thanks very much for the suggestion. I'll don't have a screen saver
running, but I'll disable the power management, make sure the computer is
running on AC and not battery, shut down Zone Alarm, Norton, and anything I
can find active, and give it another try. I'll let you know how it goes. I
sure do appreciate the help.
