Can't view network from XP

Hi:
Half of my office uses XP professional and the other half uses 98. I've
recently run into a problem where we can't view or access the local network
on the XP machines. We do have internet access and have run all available
updates from Microsoft, but we still get the problem. The error message
reads something like 'Folder already in use' when clicking on a mapped
drive.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure by your post if you have tried this or not,
but choose a system not critical to your daily operations
and uninstall the network client. Reboot and reinstall
the client, services and protocals. This should correct
the problem.
